WALLY'S ABILITY WAS PRESERVED WELL INTO HIS 40'S. DID HIS SAUSAGES HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS?
In these later years, renowned Garfield defender Jim Fawkner kept the ageing Toy to five goals. He told Wilson he was thankful to limit him to such a tally.

Butchers Fined
FOR having sold adulterated sausages a Tynong and a Bunyip butcher were up before the Bunyip Court last
Wednesday.
E. H. Hughes, of Tynong, who had no previous convictions, was fined 10/, with £2/10/ costs.
Because of a previous conviction W. J. Toy, of Bunyip, was given a stiffer penalty—a £5 fine plus £2/10/ costs.
Analysis proved the excess preservative to be 45 per cent, over the quantity permitted by the regulations.

Itellya is researching local history on the Mornington Peninsula and is willing to help family historians with information about the area between Somerville and Blairgowrie. He has extensive information about Henry Gomm of Somerville, Joseph Porta (Victoria's first bellows manufacturer) and Captain Adams of Rosebud.
