You have given me more clues. I added some details to my search information. I know for sure the family were British and probably from England. I am going to try wedding records as that might give me the names of their parents. Thanks for the assistance with ideas and for triggering my thoughts.

Year married: 1841.
Place: MA district, New South Wales.
Registration number: 589/1841 V1841589 25C.

Looking at the birth records David and Martha had four children in New South Wales.

1. Elizabeth WEAVER born 1842.
2. Charles WEAVER born 1844.
3. Sarah WEAVER born 1848.
4. Mary WEAVER born 1850.

What you located seems to fit with anecdotal jottings in the family bible.I believe David and Martha were both born in the United Kingdom so I will now search for their families. I have some notes suggesting that Sarah Weaver and her husband Richard Barnes travelled around NSW in a gypsy caravan. They had 5 children, on of whom was my Deaf Great Grandmother. Thanks heaps for the information and for the motivation it has again given me.
