I'm related to the Tewards via my great-grandmother Elizabeth Barnett, nee Young(formerly Teward - her husband was killed in the Brunner Mine Disaster and she eventually remarried)It was interesting to find out that Eileen (Aitcheson) Teward who is my great aunt(technically - half) was quite the thespian and there are many notices of her appearances in productions in Papers Past along with some from her husband Matthew and occasionally their children Gordon and Valerie who are also mentioned in other notices for Eisteddfodds etc. Eventually Eileen she made it on to television in an early teleplay. http://www.nzonscreen.com/title/the-evening-paper-1965. It may actually be able to claim being the first televised serial in NZ history!
