William Henry Nee and Sarah Welsh Nee Colville Confederated Tribes in Washington State

Journal by juliekoepke

William Nee and Sarah Welsh Nee were my grandmother, Virginia McShane Stout DeCamp's grandparents. My mother (Virginia Leigh Stout Jones) and her family and ancestors were all raised in or around the Colville reservation, Keller, Omak, and Coulee Dam.
My siblings all were born in Seattle (1950's and 1960's) and raised in Portland, Oregon, where four of my siblings still live. I moved to the suburbs of Chicago in 1992 which is where all seven of my kids were raised.
In 2006, I went to the agency and asked for family history related to my grandmother, and they were kind enough to print much of the information they had on microfiche and send it to me. In turn, I made 20 copies and bound them, and gave them to my siblings, cousins, and my kids at a family reunion in 2008.
The farthest back I can trace our roots back on my maternal side is to Annie Cimant Sin-um-ptk (not sure on the exact name but she was alive from 1840-1916 from the information I have. I have strong thoughts that she was Sarah Welsh's mother. I am looking for confirmation and any more information.
Thank you!

For mother's day, my kids got me a DNA kit from Ancestry which I sent in, and it has given me additional information that has piqued my interest for future generations.
