Samuel was born the sixth of eleven children to Thomas Calladine (1749 - March 7, 1836) and Mary(c1751 ? 1817) in 1771 - in the small town of Heanor in Derbyshire,

His father Thomas Calladine (64 on my ahnentafel) was also born in the small town of Heanor.

Samuels mother may have been Mary Rumley who married a Thomas Calladine on May 18, 1769 at Pinxton, but it is not yet confirmed.

Samuel was born 1782 in Tag Hill, Derbyshire, baptised: May 26, 1782, Tag Hill, Derbyshire. He married MARY MATHER June 9, 1804 in Heanor Derbyshire. She was born 1785 in Heanor Derbyshire. Samuels occupation was a collier and he died April 14, 1868.
