My grandparents were: Robert Henry and Sarah Jeremiah (Mariah) Farmer Acors.
Robert was born 03 Oct 1853 in Hanover Co., Virginia
He died 09 Oct 1930 and buried at Rouzie's Chapel.
He married 13 Nov 1883 to Mariah in Hanover Co., Va.
His parents were: John B. Acors and Mary Anne Smith. John and Anne were married 20 Jan 1837 in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania County.
Mariah was born 17 Jun 1856 in Hanover Co., Virginia to Edmund Farmer and Elizabeth Rice Farmer. She died 06 Aug 1940 and also buried at Rouzie's

She never raised her voice or got angry. Never disagreed. Shy and quiet.
One time she was going to town to buy a new pair of shoes. Lacy, Sallie, Grandma Stanley, Skip and Shirley came along. They had to bring the shoes to the car for her to try on because she didn't want to go in the store. She never went anywhere in the car unless she had to. On the way home they stopped to eat and she wouldn't go inside.

She gave Sallie and Lacy their first home in her will.
