I am trying to find information on family in the area, but don't know where or how to get any records that may exist

Help please from anyone who has local knowledge, so I can start again and maybe get somewhere this time

IT WILL DEPEND LARGELY WHERE YOU LIVE, GIVE SOME DETAILS OF FAMILY MEMBERS, BIRTHS DEATHS, MARRIAGES ETC AND PERHAPS SOMEONE CAN POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

It has a lot of info for:
* Polish Vital Records
* Passenger List Pages
* Tombstone Inscriptions
* War Memorials

* Lists of Immigrants

Birth, Death & Marriage records for many, many provinces
Surname Databases
War Memorials
Records from various cemeteries in Poland

looks like a large, informative site & should be of help
