Ellesmere Guardian, 28 May 1926 DENSEM-McPHERSON - A very pretty wedding of much interest was celebrated recently at the residence of the bride's parents, "Te Aro", Sedgemere. when Inez, only daughter of Mr and Mrs A. McPherson of Lakeside, was married to Mr Norman Densem, of Christchurch. The ceremony was performed by the Rev T. G. Butler, Presbyterian Minister, of Southbridge.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty bridal frock of ivory crepe de chine, with trimmings of floral and silver. Her Veil was of white embroidered silk tulle, with knots of orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet.
The bridesmaid, Miss Doris Densem, sister of the bridegroom, wore a frock of jade green silk marocain, and carried a shower bouquet. Mr Gordon Johnstone (Christchurch) was best man.
After the ceremony a reception was held at "Te Aro", Mrs McPherson, who received the guests, wearing a frock of black satin and marocain.
Later in the day Mr and Mrs Densem left on their wedding tour, which is to be spent in the south, the bride wearing a saxe blue ensemble suit, with fox furs and a black panne velvet hat with silver ornament. Mr and Mrs Densem, whose future home will be at Stillwater, West Coast, were the recipients of many beautiful presents, including several gifts from St John's Presbyterian congregation, of which the bride was organist, Sunday School teacher and a member of the Bible Class
