* Albert Edward Peck, served in WWI as Trooper 7/100, enlisting with the Canterbury Mounted Rifles and left from Lyttleton 16 Oct 1914 for the Suez. He was living in Morven, Waimate before enlisting. He served for 4 years and received the Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal and was presented in 1967 with the Gallipoli Badge and Medallion.
* Albert also served in WWII as 807059 with the 7 Canterbury Regiment and with the 85th Coastal Battery. He served for nearly 3 years and received the War Medal & the NZ War Service Medal.
