Introducing myself

Journal by Gordy100

Hello everyone,

I'm just thought I'd better introduce myself.

My name is Kay and I'm based in Scotland. I happened across this site by accident and thought it looked like a good bet to try to find out some more information about my family.

The names I am researching are Gordon/Middleton/Mollison/Kerr/Mitchell/Edwards/Duncan/Watt, but I'm mainly trying to research the Gordon branch at the moment.

I look forward to getting to know you all through time and hope that your own research is going better than mine, which seems to have stalled.

Regards and best wishes,

Kay, aka Gordy100

Greetings to you in cyberspace, Kay. My name is Alison and I live in sunny Queensland, Australia.

It's a pleasure to have you here, as share our information with others we make new connections within our family trees.

How to use this website, in the top right-hand corner, type in NEWBIES and FREE and you will be taken to some journals at this familytreecircles site that I have written. All good stuff I promise! Also type in SCOTLAND and there's some excellent website links.

There are as many excellent websites out there as I draw breath.

And the probability that you will hardly have to pay a cent if you only know where to look. Genealogy need not necessarily be an expensive hobby.

Within every journal that is submitted, there is the capability of adding the surnames that the journal is about at the bottom of each journal. Also the option to edit each journal written as well.

In your profile, you will already have seen the option to add all your surnames in bulk registration format, in uppercase and separated by commas.

I'm trying to create a surname wiki style page for each surname but it is rather hard going with not many Editors. {And my little boys need their Mummy}.

Cheerio,
Alison.
