Hi Carol on their marriage cert the date was 17 April 1911 he was a widower and 28 years old father listed as James

I have the marriage cert. also the 1911 census.He was in the army and I have found records with same Reg, no. BUT no attestation or DOB, Therfore not 100 per cent.
Today the death came for him . Living 4 Park Street Shirley. where the family are aware of him living with his wife. Died 1st 27th April 1939 in hospital , age 66yrs. Name given as Solomon Richards. Still no actual birth date given .
I will try and get the funeral directors from that time and matbe they will have a date of birth
