I have been researching my Lively roots for over 12 years now. My "brick wall" is my Great, Great Grand-father, Elbert Berry Lively. He was born abt 1817, probably in Tennessee. I have been able to locate him on the 1860 and 1880 census records...but I still cannot find him in 1870. He lived in Texas and was rumored to be "sailor". He married Elizabeth Howerton Colby (widow of Doc Colby and daughter of Jeremiah Howerton) and had several children. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
