Have William Allen 1791 -1866think he married Elizabeth who died 1854 in St.Ives,Cambs Have found 3 sons James, Richard and Thomas, did he have any more children. (possibly Isaac and Isabella( Does anyone know Elizabeth's maiden name and date of birth.Nightmare family to find.

Meury73 on 2016-10-07 02:27:55I have a William Allen bp 1791 brother of Edward Allen, bp 1800, both sons of John Allen c 1760 and Eleanor Warnock, b1767 of Innisharghie, County Down, Northern Ireland. I am having trouble working out what happened to William, because he disappears off our family tree by approximately 1829.
We have one oral scrap of information that he married 'beneath him' and had a daughter Amelia. That's all.
I am looking at another William for our one, but he married a different person from the wife that you have found. It is possible that our William married twice, but the first wife should have died before 1825, unless he left her, of course. In a first marriage he could have fathered a James in 1816. This William may have left England in 1842 and died in Australia. If he did, he left James behind.
Where did your William die?
