I am searching for the parents of my great grandfather James Henry Bryant/Briant Sr. He was born in Jackson Co. TN (abt 1847) and died in Simpson Co. KY (18 Apr 1919). It is thought that James Henry Sr.'s parents were James and Nancy(maiden name unknown) but I haven't been able to prove that yet.

Saw a death certificate on ancestry for James Henry Bryant b 19 Mar 1847 in Gainsboro, Jackson,TN. And d 18 Apr 1919 in Simpson, Kentucky. Censuses show he lived in TN till 1880 census, resident of Goshen, Warren,KY and a farmer. Marr Sarah Elizabeth Gibson 1849-1910 and 7 children. His father James Briant b 1810 Jackson,TN wife Nancy b 1811, 5 children. Post states marr to Hannah Huff abt 1826 Jackson,TN. , 7 children. Look on rootsweb type George Briant. Hope this helps. Diane
