I'm researching my family tree, and I've hit a slump. I've got it back to Louis Evans, my great-great-great grandfather coming to Dalton, Ga from North Carolina in 1820. My great-great aunt was Catherine Evans Whitner, of the Dalton based Peacock Alley fame, so there's that if that helps... Thanks!

Hi, Tyler,

I am descended from a Henry Evans and Nancy Smith Evans of Dalton, GA. Henry fought in the Civil War. I've always wondered if there was any connection with Catherine Evans Whitener's line. Have you found Henry in any of your research?
