-- Arthur Hugh Acland Empson was a son of Walter EMPSON (1857-1934) & Agnes Dyke ACLAND (1861-1945 Agnes received an OBE, see link). His grandfather was the Reverend Arthur John Empson of Eydon, Northamptonshire. Arthur attended Wanganui Collegiate where his father Walter (& his brothers) had attended, Walter later became Headmaster (for 20 years). In 1904 Arthur was in Form VI and won prizes for Greek, Latin & Divinity. He later lived in India (8th Cavalry, Indian Army), He married at Jhansi, India on 14 March 1914 to Dorothy Carlyon Gore Browne, daughter of Rev Thirlwall Gore Browne of Fawley Rectory, Southampton

Thank you! I did not connect Elsie Florence Joseph with Jacob Joseph. This was a big help in closing a gap in our tree.
