Hi I am looking for others searching the Noakes of Udimore Sussex England. James Noakes married Eliza Masters at Udimore on 18 April 1825. Later the family migrated to NSW Australia.His Father was Thomas who married Sarah Darby 09 Sep 1789 in Udimore who was the son of Richard Noakes who married Mary Susans 15 November 1753. Any help appreciated.

Iam a descendant of the Masters Family who married the Noakes and mined gold at Gunderoo. This is not far from where I live. I have info on both Familys

My Hushand is a descendant of James Noakes, His Son Silas is Great Grandfather Married Julia Moore,their son Silas john married to Lydia Edgerton, their son Alister Noakes is my husbands father. If you would like further info just let me Know.

The family emigrated to australia on board the August Jennie which sailed from Portsmouth on the 13 June 1837 and arrived in Sydney on Wednesday 11 October 1837 James was then 34 years old and his wife
Eleanor Eliza was 33.They were said to be a very well behaved and cheerful couple He was an agriculturist farm worker ,except ploughing andhad been accustomed to be in charge of sheep and cattle His wife wasa dairy women
They had seven children I could Put them if you want

Hi, everyone, my 2nd Great Grand Uncle was Charles Masters who emigrated to Australia on board the Augusta Jessie in 1837. Eliza Masters was my 2nd Great Grand Aunt who married James Noakes. I was surprised to see so much info on my family, but I'm sure that there is more. If I can help in any way then please contact me.

hi,im from sussex in england.im related to the noakes family.mary susans and thomas noakes are my great,great,great grandparents.and jamesnoakes and eliza masters are my great great uncle and auntie who left undimore aboard the augusta jessie for sydney australia.james noakes brother john noakes is my great great grandfather.
