trishk on 2012-09-17 04:25:46I am a descendant of Frances Malviena Penny, (one of Thomas and Henrietta Penny's children), who married William Eli Bodsworth. I have done quite a bit of work on all the children of Thomas Millard and Henrietta Margaret Street as my grandfather (William Thomas Bodsworth) was adopted by Frances and William Eli Bodsworth and I am trying to find out where he came from. Talk in our family was that he was adopted within the family but I have not been able to prove this, although Frances and William adopted a child before my grandfather (Ruby, her birth was never registered but she unfortunately died at the age of 7 months and on the death certificate it states that her father was M Bowley, mother unknown. I know that one of Thomas and Henrietta's children (Albert Penny) married Mary Bowley. This seems to be more than a coincidence, so maybe they did also adopt my grandfather within the family. I have no photos of any Pennys that I could compare with my grandfather. I am hoping that you may have photos of Thomas, Henrietta or any of their children. Hope to hear from you soon. Kind Regards.
