John Sylvester Brooks was born in Maryland somewhere around 1880. He married Nellie Mae Pearce and had six children, all born in Maryland, probably in Baltimore. The family moved to Philadelphia, PA between 1920 and 1930, but Althea remained in Baltimore and lived with her Aunt Ida and Uncle Grafton Pearce. She was 20 years old in 1920 and working as a stenographer at her uncle's publishing company.

ii. Charles Vernon Brooks, b. Jan 23, 1911, d. Nov 1973 New in Jersey. m. Patricia Wilson; children: Patricia Judy, Bonita Shirley, Carol Mae, John Charles, Constance Marie, Donald James, Dorothy Jean, and Florence Sandra.

iii. John Leroy Brooks, b. Jun 2, 1912, d. Apr 18, 1976 in New Jersey. Was a career man in the Army. Served in the Korean conflict. Remained a bachelor all his life.

iv. Thelma Brooks, b. Dec 6, 1914, d. Dec 1981 in New Jersey; m. (1) Jack Edwards, (2) Red Lewellyn; children of Thelma and Jack: Jack Jr., Barbara and Joyce.

v. Naomi Brooks, died at age 4 1/2, dates unknown.

vi. Elmer Brooks, died at age 3 1/2, dates unknown.

Edward B. Wilson was born in Troy, New York, date unknown. He married Emma L. Klonegar July 4, 1871 in Philadelphia, PA. Emma is the daughter of Charles Klonegar and Sarah.

i. Edward A. Wilson, born Sep 22, 1876, m. Josephine Spielberger.

ii. Charles Frank Wilson, born 1877 in PA; m. Emma Ada Schmutters, b. 1882; children: Bertha, Estelle, Florence, Joseph (died at 19 months), and Ella.
