PHILLIPS. FOUND HIM IN EAST CARROLL CENSUS AND UNION PARISH
CENCUS WHICH INDICATE HE WAS BORN IN MS

Cencus show he was born in MS. First cencus found was 1830 for East
Carroll Parish, LA. Using the cencus records to determine age, could
be born 1800-1809. Picked him up in the 1850 cencus listed as A.
Phillips in Union Parish, LA. Listed Children as Rebecca Female
21 years, Missouri Female 12 years old and Martin Male 10 year(This
was my Grandfather and his full Name was Martin Buren) Alfred
married Charolette Snelgrove in East Carroll Parish 11 Jun 1846, they
had three children James, George W. and Nancy J. Phillips. Feel he married his first wife in MS prior to moving to LA.
