GB1896 on Family Tree Circles

Henry/Harry William Bennett and Mary Ann Harrison, had a daughter Violet May McCabe Bennett - 2 May 1896, Epsom, Auckland. This was possibly my grandmother, who we later knew as Marvine Viola Heather McCabe Bennett, as listed on her marriage certificate to Harry Cross,b1890, Norfolk, England, UK.

On her marriage certificate she also listed that she was born at sea. She may have not legally changed her name and by stating she was born at sea, avoided the problem. They married in Wellington on the 1st December, 1925.

Violet May McCabe, Bennett may have been a sister, but we have not been able to find a BC under the name of MVH etc.

As our elusive grandmother left very little information regarding her parents and their family history in New Zealand, we are hoping that some other distant Bennett family researchers may be able to help us!
