Percy Sheppard was born c1853 in Sussex, England. He emigrated to New Zealand c1874. Married Emily Kate Lucas in Nelson in 1876. Resided in Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill.Had seven children and left the family in the mid to late 1880's. Is said to have left to go to the goldfields, some family comment on being in Australia however nothing proven. The last census record that I can find of Percy in NZ is 1880-1881. Any assistance in finding records of Percy would be appreciated. Children were: Ida Lee 1877, Ethel Leonie 1878, Ella Maude 1879, Alfred 1881, Ernest 1882, Edgar Vincent 1883, Edith Florence 1884.
