My Wilson family tree at present begins with William Wilson, Born 1773 somewhere in Kirkcudbrightshire, Died 1841 in Lochfoot, Lochrutton Parish, where he was blacksmith between about 1793 and 1835. His wife was Mary Martin, born 1758, again in the same county. She died within months of William.
Richardson also is a family name.
Any link or info at all with Wilsons or Martins in the area around these dates would be useful. (1730-1870

Hi Lochfoot - Not sure if this is relevant but William Wilson Clark born about 1840 Colvend, Kirkcudbright married Jessie C Milligan in Liverpool where they settled. Jessie Milligan was from a local family. She was born 1849 Haugh of Urr to parents Robert Swan Milligan (b Lochrutton 1819) and wife Helen Clark.
