Joseph was born the youngest of four children to Thomas Calladine (1652 - 1726)and his first wife Elizabeth Cowper(Cooper - 1660 - 1687) was born in the small town of Aston on Trent, just a few miles south of the town of Derby, Derbyshire,

His father Thomas Calladine (512 on my ahnentafel) was born in Aston on Trent.

Thomas was baptised on March 30, 1687, All Saints, Aston on Trent, Derbyshire. He married ANN DEXTER 1712 in St Werbrough, Derby, Derbyshire, daughter of ROBERT JR and MARY ROBINSON. She was born 1690 in Melbourne, Derbyshire.

ii. THOMAS CALLADINE, b. September 1714, Melbourne, Derbyshire. He married ANN JOYCE July 20, 1740 in St Michael with St Mary, Melbourne, Derbyshire. She was born 1715 in Melbourne, Derbyshire.

iii. ROBERT CALLADINE, b. Abt. 1725, Melbourne, Derbyshire; d. July 11, 1794, Melbourne, Derbyshire; m. SARA BULL, 1744, St Michael with St Mary, Melbourne, Derbyshire; d. October 30, 1798, Melbourne, Derbyshire.

iv. JOHN CALLADINE, b. April 11, 1721, Melbourne, Derbyshire. He married CATHERINE PARKER 1751 in St. Michael with St. Mary, Melbourne, Derbyshire.
