I am the direct descendant (gg grandson) of Henry Launchbury and his wife Hannah. Henry was born the eighth child of Thomas Launchbury (1780 ? 1843) and Mary Bason (c 1782 - February 06, 1872) in 1820. He was born in a small village just across the Thames from the city of Oxford called North Hinksey.

Hannah(numbered 25 on my Ahnentafel system) married Henry, the miller at Botley. on November 7, 1842. Hannah was born in 1822, and died July 17, 1873. She was the youngest daughter of John Wickson & Charlotte Hudson (1781 - 1831) of Stanton Hardcourt, five miles West of Hinksey. They were married at St Lawrence Church. The family were a very close-knit cell in 1861, and the census shows that Henry and Hannah, and six of their seven children (Charles is missing somewhere) are at the mill house, including Hannah's mother-in-law, Mary Launchbury (nee Bason).
