77 Mill Lane, Wallasey

Query by Nikkei

I'm looking for a photograph of this address and any possible history of the building. My family were living there in 1946. Many thanks,
Anne

Hi
If you go to Google, put in address, go to map icon it will take you to the street image.
It looks to be a music shop - unfortunately shutters are down

Thanks so much for taking the time to do this for me. I'm still hoping someone will be able to give me some information about that building.. it does appear that the present business "might not" be operational. I wonder how I might find out about them?

Hi Nikkei

I actually have family who live in Wallasey - I'll see what I can do to find out if its up & running.
What info are you after - is it the building & who owns it now, or is it the residence above or are you looking for a certain individual?

p.s I also live in Canada - Sunshine Coast BC

Sunshine coast sounds nice to me... I am on the east coast and there is no sunshine here today... still snow in the parking lots.

Anyway, my sister was born in 1946 and she and I and my parents were living at that address as it was on her birth certificate. I really would like a nice photo of the building. My father was a ladies' hairdresser at the time and I suppose, looking at the building, perhaps his business was on the ground floor and we lived upstairs. I suppose I thought if I could "talk" to the present owners, they might be able to tell me more about the history of the building. But, no doubt they are the umpteenth owner since 1946... so probably wouldn't learn much. So, I'd take a nice photo and be happy I guess.
