Article by jdub77

Basically we on the hunt for Alice Emma Spearman Williamson nee Beeby b1898
She may have remarried but was once married to our Grandfather Edward John Williamson in 1921 Wellington New Zealand. We are compiling a life history of our family members and Alice is an important part to our quest. We do not have any photos of our Grandfather Edward or Alice and praying that someone out there might have a wedding photo that we could possibly have a copy of please. Kindest Regards Williams family (Joanne & Jenn)
Alice parents are Charles (Australia) & Bridget (nee Kellagher from Ireland) Beeby

Hi Williams family I am Alice Emma spearman Williamson beebys grand daughter. My name is Robyn. My mums name was irma Margaret goodwin which was her married name but I think she was irma Margaret Williamson by birth but went by the name of irma Hamilton. . I rember writing letters for gran to someone called Lorna jones when I was younger and met I think a uncle called Brian Williamson twice in the last few years before mum passed away he used to send cherrys to grandma and mum lorna tried to make contact with mum but dad had just passed away and mum got annoyed cause she wouldn't stop wanting to know things about gran . Alice had one leg she got run over by a tram in Wellington when she was young. We didn't know about Brian cause we only knew mum had two bros terry and error and mum and gran lived with a older lady in Wellington called mrs rankin and terry and enrol were fostered out cause gran had to work to support them I am not sure how long gran would have been married to I suppose my grandfather cause my mum only talked about jim Hamilton as her dad .i have photos of the beeby family and my grandmother Alice over the years cause she lived with us but no wedding photos of any kind.. Gran had mentioned her family I think maybe it was Clarence maybe Charlie I was only young but I rember this and her mum Bridget had beautiful blue eyes and was tiny I rember the close resemblance of Brian to mum gran only spoke a little of by gone years a bit about the depression and gold fields down south I have just recently moved to dunedin in June of this year and have accidentally found this site how funny is that. Gran was so tiny as I am under 5ft she had a degree from Otago university which I saw she studied navigation she was a strong fiesty lady but kind and loving with a wicked sense of humour

Thank you familydetective yes indeed This appears to be our Alice, Appreciate your discovery immensely =) And amazingly today we found Brian Williamson whom was fostered out as a young child he has passed on, But we got to speak with his son also named Brian whom sister is Lorna Jones and are in the early stages of reconnecting our family....Exciting times. Eagerly awaiting Robyn Oneils reply =) =)
