Ancestry.com lookup please...
Does anyone subscribe to Ancestry.com? If so, could you look up something for me? If you could look up passenger and immigration lists, 1820 to 1957, Michael GUINTY, I would really appreciate it. Apparently there is more info (unless this is a come on!) and I really need the date they arrived, the ship's name, and what part of Ireland they are from. Please help!

I'm also researching Guyton, Cole, McAlister lines. Just starting on the GUINTY, SNODGRASS, PIPER line on my father's line. My ancestors came from England, Ireland, Scotland. They settled in Massachussetts, Kansas, Mississippi, Virginia, North Carolina. I have also been researching the Manning line on my fathers side. The Sanders line is nearly complete, exept the large wall between William Aaron and his ancestors (Thanks to DNA evidence disproving a large part of my work, and the work of others!). Would love to hear from any distant cousins I have out there!

Hello Kathleen
I am a member of Ancestry. Can you give me some more information on Michael Guinty. eg date of birth and I will try to have a look for you.
Heather
Kathleen - I have found some conflicting info---
Michael Guinty, 29, male, embarkment-Liverpool, Ship - Western World, Occupation - farmer, passengers-559, residence-Mayo, native country-Ireland, destination-Illinois, arrival-13 Oct 1851
Another listing-
Michael Guinty, age 21, place of origin-Maze, port of departure-Liverpool, Port of arrival-New York, date of arrival-13 Oct 1851. I also had an image of the actual passenger list of the Western World-I think this is the same person, just the age and residence were copied incorrectly.
There's also some more listings for Michael Guinty-if this does not fit your ancestor, let me know and I will look some more.
If this is your ancestor, I can send you the passenger list---just let me know!!!!!!!
Renee
Michael's dob is 19 Mar 1841, and he died 13 Nov 1929. I know he was born in Ireland, and his family came over in 1847. The name may have been McGinty. His parents were Patrick and Mary Ginty, or Guinty, or McGinty. That's my problem, Michael and his brothers may have changed the name. Mary's maiden name was Hanley. Patrick was born around 1810, as an 1850 Census for Lasalle, Ill. lists him as being age 40. It also shows the family's last name as McInty (the census worker may have left out the G). Sorry if this is confusing, and thanks so much for your help! A passenger list would be great-here's my Email-dawson631@charter.net. Thanks, Kathleen.
