Anne Travers wife of John Cullen

Journal by jemhof

Looking for information on the John Cullen family, possibly from County Leitrim. John Cullen married Anne Travers, their children included Bessie b. 1878 and Margaret b. 1886. There may also have been a son John, but we have no information on him. Bessie came to the US in 1895, lived in the Philadelphia area and never married. She worked as a domestic for the Cassatt family. Margaret married William Sutcliffe in Philadelphia.

Just today I found the TRAVERs name in Gornacrieve Townland, Leitrim. Check out the 1911 Ireland census www. census.nationalarchives.ie and 1901 census at www.leitrim-roscommon.com. Don't know about the Cullen names. I don't know any further information - these last names are not in my family, but hope this helps you. Good luck! Susan
