Any info on the Elliot-Adkins lineage

My grandfather was William.Dona.Adkins. He married Lula.Gibbs sometime in the early 20's. They had eight children. One of the boys died very young. They lived near Sandy Hook Ky.Unfortunately my father Emery.Curtis.Adkins has passed, and now I wish I would have kept a journal on the stories he told of his family. I do know that my Gr-Grandpa Adkins had a store near highway 7.
