James CARRUTHERS and Mary Jane unknown both born c1825 somewhere in Australia or may have been emigrants that settled here, had a son, George CARRUTHERS born 1846.

George CARRUTHERS married abt 1879 to Mary Jane SWEENEY. Her parents names are not known as yet. I can't find their marriage in Victoria or New South Wales, so could have been other States.

Married 1926 VIC to Ruth TARBETT born 1901 Werribee, died 1981 Melbourne. She was the daughter of David Andrew Jones TARBETT and Margaret Douglas WOOD.
