Baker/Mooney family from Bundarra and Newcastle, NSWSince
Since researching the Baker/ family I have gone back to days when convicts came in to Sydney, Australia. I discovered that William Bake(a Convict ) for stealing (two silver spoons ) convicted at London, Middlesex, England and transported and , came in on the 2nd Fleet about 1790 , in years later he was pardoned and given land at Windsor , there he married Sarah Draper ( another convict ) No. 52 list came in on the Britannia ship - convicted in Court of St. James 10-1-1798.
Arrived Port Jackson, Tuesday 17th July,1801 -Married William Baker on Sunday 18-11-01.
The list goes on - could anyone else tell me the full story about the Baker Family from Bundarra, for instance what were their occupations?
I'd be interested in hearing the story about the place they call "Laura" also, in the 20th Century in my G/Mothers time and others does anyone have some Old Photos - copies please they'd like to share with me for my "Family Book" about our Ancestors' - I'd be glad to pay for "Costs" copies.
Also like to hear and receive news from others about the 2010 Reunion of Baker Clan. All this with your permission.
Thank you in anticipation.
Hoping for some replies. Regards Sheilagh
