Thank you for this information. Can you tell me if there is a family tree for the Bartletts and any info on Mildred Mary Bartlett formally Johns the first wife of William and from Moomba
I'm sure there will be a BARTLETT family tree out there somewhere. Just a matter of finding it online.
I have been working on the BARTLETT family all day and have posted a family record for John BARTLETT and Catherine CLAUGHTON married in 1888 and hope it may be of some help to you. I ran out of time today and will do a few more searches tomorrow.
Cheers.
Thank you for that
Hi Vicki.
I've included a few more details to my BARTLETT journal after another day of searching the records. I do things the hard way when it comes to family records.
I'm still unable to locate a death for Mildred. If Mildred died in Australia she was not recorded under the name of Mildred Mary BARTLETT. I'm starting to think that William and Mildred were divorced in later years and Mildred remarried.
If you have the marriage details for William's second marriage to this Kathleen Annie it may assist with further searches. I still have lots of cemetery records to search so may pick up a few more details.
It's been a long day.
Hi
Thinking back Mildred Mary died in Western Australia from T.B. as one of her sons Howard and I think they may be buried in Karakatta cemetery Perth
I do thank you for what you have found out
Yes ... there was a death recorded for a Mildred M BARTLETT in W.A. in 1936, but there was no middle name or age recorded so I was not sure. I have searched a few cemetery records trying to confirm if this was Mildred, including Karrakatta cemetery, but have not located a burial for her to date. I will keep looking and let you know if I find any further details.
No luck finding Mildred's burial place today, but I did find John's in Cheltenham. I'm now waiting to hear from the cemetery to find out the location of his gravesite. I think they may have moved it.
Hi Vicki.
Located burials today for your William and Kathleen and updated the BARTLETT journal again. In your last comment you mentioned 'they' may be buried at Karrakatta Cemetery. I'm now wondering who you think may be buried with Mildred.
Cheers.
Kathleen was the second wife of William and Mildred the first and Mildred died leaving William a widower
William and Mildred had 3 children Murray (dec) my father, Howard (dec) tb and Lillian browder (dec)
Howard was in the Aus army but died of taberculosis as did Mildred
My mother says they are both buried at karrakata Perth by I am still thinking bunbury lawn in bunbury and those records are hard to find
Hope this will help you in more of the Bartletts journal
Mildred And Howard died in Northam W.A. and buried in Wooraloo I found the death certs
Certificates tell the story.
While searching for the burials of Mildred and Howard BARTLETT in Western Australia I tried the Wooloroo Cemetery but I could not find any burial records online. The only burial records I located for Wooroloo Cemetery came from transcriptions of headstones but there were no BARTLETTs recorded so they may not have a headstone.
I also had a reply from the Cheltenham Cemetery regarding the burial site for your John Nicholas BARTLETT. He was buried on the 27 December 1908 in an unmarked grave in Section K, Driveway C, Path 17, Site 191S. This is the same burial site as his second wife Catherine who died in 1926.
Happy Easter.
