Gday,

I also have some Beatties in one of my family trees. Do you know where they settled in Australia?

Cheers

Hi

I am a Beattie looking for other Beattie's. I can only go back to Archibald b c1778, Glasgow and married Margaret Lindsay c1780. Had children: James 1807, Margaret 1815, Samuel 1822, Catherine 1823, Jennet 1827. James marr Mary Williamson and came to Sydney, NSW 1839. James and Mary had a son James who married Mary Jane Doak. James and Mary Doak were my great grandparents.
I would love to find someone belonging to this "lot".

Hi Bronzerat,
Did you hear from Belinda?
I am also descended from these folk. Margaret Beattie 1815 was my G G Grandmother. She remained in Glasgow, married to Richard Hislop, a blacksmith,by the time the others headed for Australia. My Dad , Grandson of Margaret eventually came here to OZ , but that`s another story.
How do you fit into the Beattie tree?
