Bernards in Canada
GENESEEK
My grandfather John Edward Courtenay BERNARD b 1875 Buckhurst Hill, Essex, England married Nora VEAL b 1888 Fulham, London, England. I have not been able to find evidence of their marriage in England or Canada.
They came to Canada about 1910 (Courtenay first in 1906).
Nora was on the SS Bonnigton in B.C. in 1913 - probably out of Arrowhead, B.C.
They farmed in Teulon, Manitoba c 1916 - moved to Winnipeg c 1918-19 and to Senneville, Quebec in 1922.
Courtenay died in 1942, Nora in 1969.

GENESEEK on 2011-07-18 16:27:37Thank you - I have tried the Drouin records and Ancestry.ca as well as most provincial data bases to no avail. Also overseas British records.
