Bertha ANNEAR and Ten YOUNG were married in New Zealand in 1887.
No children located in New Zealand for Bertha and Ten.
Was Ten known by another name?

Two and a half hours of searching the Australian records indicates Ten and Bertha had no children in this part of the world.

Any idea where Ten and Bertha had their children?

Yes both were born in Wellington where Bertha and Ten had a shop. I have Williams death certificate here stating the birth in Wellington, death 26th July 1970 in Auckland, cremated at Purewa aged 82 years.
Florence Ethel Selina(Flossie) died 1914 aged 23 years. Buried Terrace End Cemetary,
Palmerston North. LO4-03.
Yes Ten used the name William but if you check the burial disc you will find dozens.
Maybe they moved to Palmerston North? I have a copy of a photo William took in the Hawkes Bay in 1910. He worked as a freelance photographer for the Auckland Weekly News and did a lot of racing photos. There are some on Papers Past.
He lived with my grandmother in Auckland and had a daughter Phyliss Elayne in 1928.
I believe that Ten was Asian as a photo that my aunt commented on was the size of him compared to Bertha. Maureen

Bertha was my great grandmother.
She was married to Ten aka William Young. They had a third child, Archie.
I do not know when William died, but from my mother's memories, Bertha was living in Moxham Ave, Hataitai, Wellington at the time of her death in approx 1920. My mother lived just down the road. Mum never mentioned Bertha marrying again. I have found a death record for a Bertha Norton Young in 1918 but have no reason to believe this is the correct one.

Flossie is buried with her Annear grandfather in Palmerston North.

Hi Anne,
I have Bertha dying 19 March 1933, not sure if it is correct.
William died before her. Can you give me any info on Archie? BMD family etc.
Found Bertha several times on Papers Past re court cases, might be worth a look.
Fred or Poppa as we knew him lived in Westmere Auckland as my older brother and
myself used to stay with him in the school holidays. He later moved to Tauranga
to live near Phylliss and my Mum who he brought up as is own daughter.
Could you email me at clawsmum@gmail.com please.
Would love to fill in the gaps. Thanks Maureen
