Betsy Lackey married Samuel Steele came to PA USA

According to hand-written family tree done by my great-aunt, the first generation Americans on the STEELE side of my family came from Ireland, but I don't know for sure the year. There is supposedly a Samuel STEELE who came to US with his wife they called Betsy (maiden name LACKEY), and I do know they had a child in Cumberland Co, PA in 1786 named Isaac STEELE.
Supposedly they left a son behind in Ireland. I don't know if they had other children after their arrival to US. Isaac STEELE married Jane BARR in the US, and one of their 4 sons was Samuel. They also had 4 daughters. They were among the first pioneer families of Armstrong Co. PA USA. I have almost all of the info for Isaac and Nancy, and know where they are buried in PA.
I cannot find a record of a Betsy LACKEY whose spouse was Samuel STEELE.

sharleen51 on 2011-03-21 23:37:02I found Betsy LACKEY! I have learned that Betsy was the second wife of my Samuel STEELE. He married first in Ireland, and had a son with 1st wife. That explains the "son left behind in Ireland". He apparently then married Betsy LACKEY in Cumberland Co.PA. One of his offspring was Isaac STEELE who m. Jane BARR.
