Searching Fathers family: In the past large familys were very common, so you could say the family was very common. Virginia was where the family settled after arriving in New York from the old country. There were soooo many children that I often get bogged down by the numbers, especially so, because it seems that our family used a variation of each others names over and over. And looking back now it appears that same months and days occurred for birthdays too. Religion was something they all had in common, however I assume a rift of some kind happened, and spelling of name as well as denomonation changed. Some moved on north and some moved south. War between the states was probally a factor, but could politics have so divided a God fearing family? Whats the reason? Won't really know until I join them.
