BUCKLAND Charles Wesley Allenby, my father-in-law handed me his families Bible & many other documents. This was over 20years ago. I am a passionate genealogist, researching nearly every day. The family information led me on a journey to find out why he was the only family member to come to Australia in 1888. I shall continue the story next time.

citc5 on 2019-09-16 12:46:45My name is Peter Christian Buckland. My late father did the family tree and it went back to 1066. Apparently our family were normans and fought with William the conquer. My mother knows the French name but to stay in England William made you take an English name.I think the family ancestor were 4 brother one named Hugh de Bockland later changed to Buckland. Don't quote me on this.

My Charles Wesley’s father Charles Henry from Yate Gloucester, his father Henry Fitzherbert his father Thomas then William 1759-1831 Crudwell, Wiltshire back to John BUCKLAND m/ 1755. Elizabeth SEAGER John’s father Joseph Buckland. 1680-1759 also some connection to Monmouthshire, Wales.
