Looking for ancestors of Thomas BURDICK 1656 - 1732 Newport Rhode Island.

I'm sure someone has advised you by now that there is a book - "Descendants of Robert Burdick" by Nellie Johnson - likely a copy in any major city library.
Many generations are listed and very well cross referenced.

There was also an enclave of Burdicks in Warren county, NY. The historians there might be of some help.

I have consulted both, but unsuccessful in finding info about a Nathaniel Burdick born ca 1800, my gr gr grandfather, who was in the Souther tier NY area 1826 - 1827, where his son Nathan was born in 1827. I do have records fromthen to current.

Thank you Bud. Yes, since this post I obtained a copy of the book you mentioned and it has helped a lot. Coupled with more records I have uncovered from family members,I have been able to add a lot to our family line. Good luck to you in your research.
