CAMAC from NORWAY

Journal by marbra

I am researching this name for a friend. He knows that his ancestors were from Oslo in Norway and has given me some names.

Thank you to all those who have given me ways to search for Norwegian ancestors.

I have been given information that Camac is not a Norwegian surname so the name or spelling must have been changed.

I will have to try to find out just what it was.

Norway census are free online.
Once you have established some names, dates and location this link to a Norwegian query board is VERY helpful, ask your questions in English, most of the participants are bi-lingual.
Best of luck.

Genealogy Wise - Norway and Norwegian Ancestry

- Help to search people in Norway
- A list of where your ancestors came from in Norway
- A list of "Bygdeboker"# their members have
- various Patronymic and Common Name boards

#Bygdeboker are basically local history books that contain a wealth of genealogy information.
