Oh it was you! I couldn't find the original journal where I'd written all the notes.
I'm so pleased for you.

Sorry, but I do not understand "oh it was you"? I was offering you photos of my Grandfather and also Family history. Are you part of our Family? Regards Aileen

Sorry Aileencampbell, my mistake. I thought you were the lady for whom I had been researching The Goldburg-Jacoby Campbell family, a couple of years ago.
No I am not part of your family. Although I wouldn't mind a death date for David Aitken Campbell if you have one.

David Aitken Campbell born in West Wallsend joined the A.I.F Service No. 178 (Seige Brigade) in Melbourne. He at the time was living with wife Alice Constance whom he had married on the 15 July 1915, at her parents house at 42 Moubray Street Albert Park. On enlistment he was 20 yrs 6 mths and gave his occupation as a draper. He went oberseas 17 July 1917 and Alice Constance moved to Punt Rd., Richmond.
Now I'm vague about the rest of the story but from memory he was discharged in Melbourne in November 1918 and left the state. He did not return to Alice Constance and she had a child. I don't remember if there was a divorce or what but he apparently moved to Bondi and re-married The last address I had found for him was
7 Beau Rivage 104 Brighton Blvde., North Bondi on 1937 His father was James Campbell and lived in Brown St., West Wallsend. It was a grandchild of his in Melbourne who made the initial inquiry of him in here. Give me a few days and it might all come back to me; it was so long ago.

Janilye, do you happen to remember the person you were doing the Goldberg Jacoby Campbell research for? There are only a handful of us left so you can imagine my curiosity? Aileen

Janilye, are you not able to talk to me now. Having such trouble with the new site I have given up trying. In case I do not hear again, thank you for all your help and good luck in your own search at Maldon (would be funning if it was the same search). Aileen

by janilye on 2013-04-06 23:48:09

I have no other information.
If you click on Jacoby which I have highlighted in RED, above, then click 'contact' you will be able to leave Jacoby a message regarding your relationship.
My visit to the Central Goldfields, including Maldon was unrelated to your family search.

Janilye, I had to post just once more so that I could publicly apologise to you for getting you into trouble. When I clicked on Jacoby and realised how much of your time and effort went into the Jacoby research for my Brother I understood why you could not keep doing it. I can imagine what it meant to him. I had no idea what was involved nor that I was breaching protocol. Perhaps I will try another site for me. Thanks again and bye, Aileen
