have just started to research carl who was my great grandfather.i am a grandson of carls daughter ivy.i have seen a post by another grandchild, called carol, who was bought up by ivy.i have met carol way back in the late fiftys or maybe early sixtys, but have no idea what happened to her.ive also seen a post where nana ivys brother was killed in action during the first world war and lies buried at caterpillar cemetery in france.this has come as a huge shock as I cant recall any family members talking about this.with Anzac day 2017 approaching I shall certainly be remembering my late great uncle.i cant believe none of the old people told us younger ones about our great uncles ultimate sacrifice , and his burial in a foreign country in 1916.i hope someone out there has some info on carol carter or where I might locate her.
