I have just started tracing my family tree, I did not have much to start with. My parents separated when I was around 3 years of age. I found my grandparents were living in Winnipeg up until their death, my Grandparents came from around Bryson......Pontiac Quebec. I found out that my grandparents moved to Manitoba to live because his parents were staunch Catholics and my gr. grandfather did not believe in marriage outside their religion.i have pieced a lot together from things I have found on Ancestry. I did a DNA test recently with 23 and me, just got my results back last week and am still trying to figure them out, I am Hapologroup u5b1b1a, and would like to connect with other of this group. I don't have the Y chromozone soi cant go anywhere with that until I find some male relatives from my dads family who have tested, ihope there is someone out there.My oldest brother does not communicate with the family and my youngest brother is not interested.
