CARSON CLAN FROM LURGAN (1912)

Journal by drcarson

JUST GETTING STARTED.

I WANT TO START BY FINDING INFO ABOUT MY GRANDFATHER (GEORGE CARSON). ALL I KNOW IS THAT IN 1913 HE LIVED ON HILL ST. IN LURGAN, MARRIED TO ELIZABETH FORDHAM. THEY HAD 5-CHILDREN, THE 2ND (MY DAD) WAS BORN IN 1912.
IN 1914 HE WAS IN THE ROYAL IRISH REGIMENT, SPENDING MOST OF WW1 ON THE WESTERN FRONT.

AFTER THE WAR, HE EITHER STAYED IN THE ARMY OR WAS IN THE CONSTABULARY OR A PRISON GUARD. AROUND 1925/1926, HE WAS KILLED, DUE TO THE TROUBLED TIMES.

DAD NEVER SPOKE ABOUT HIS YOUTH, I ONLY LEARNED A LITTLE FROM MY AUNY AFTER DAD DIED.

Surnames: CARSON FORDHAM
