Charles Fruen/Fruean

Journal by SandyW

I am looking for any information on Charles Fruen/Fruean, who is my g.g.g grandfather born about 1810 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, USA.

According to family folklore, Charles and his two brothers (names ??) were professional shipwrights and whalers in their time. They traveled to South America and the South Pacific and ended up in Samoa, South Pacific, about the 1830s. Charles remained in Samoa while the two brothers returned back to sea, their whereabouts are unknown.

Appreciate any information regarding this family and also the names of his parents and siblings.

Thanks for reading,

Sandy

Thank you kindly for that suggestion. I never thought of looking in the phone book. I know there are alot of Frueans there in NZ, so it's worth checking into. Thanks.

Happy Holidays!
