corfield family in manchester lancs england

Journal by marra

can anyone help me please, looking to find my great great grandads parents he was named WILLIAM CORFIELD and he was born in 1850, his wife was named ELLEN SHAW born 1848, he was married in MANCHESTER in 1869, but I once again have hit a brick wall, there are two or three in the England births and christenings, but I don't know which was his, i have found him and his family on alot of the censuses, I don't expect anyone to do my research for me, if someone can tell me what to do to find his parents I would be most grateful,, I have also looked on parish registers. I seem to be doing so well on my other family lines, its just that this one that is a puzzle.
thanks for anyones attention on this matter

thank you so much for your help, this is the one that I thought, but theres a spanner in the works, I am now going to research William bowker corfield born 20th april 1851 his mother was sarah corfield he was illegitimate. the reason being because William born 1850, corneluses son, on his marriage certificate there was a blank space for father, after talking to edmondsallon and rogcorfield I guess I have got to forget Cornelius and ruth and restart over, its complicated isn't it cause I like you thought I had it in the bag, and so did edmondsallon for a while, i have been told that the William born by corn and ruth died at a very early age but he did exist got to check death records, but what do i do if i cant find William on them, i have been sent some details already on William bowker corfield, from this wonderful site, ie 1841 1851 18651 censuses
thanks for your attention on this
