Markav, thank you so much for your reply, this is a possiblity, I have found that sometimes you have to go with the flow, and just put remarks against the family entries if proof positive is not found. My family McLaren seemed to have settled largely in the Kirkintilloch area and my ggrandmother came out to Australia in 1858. I am trying to finalize my family history booklets, as unfortunately my life span is not that great. So it is head down, tails up and get cracking. LOL.
