wez on 2012-10-17 04:55:45Ellen died Jan 25 1933 in Kersbrook SA and George died in 1888. Ellen remarried to John Smithson Elliot(d.mar 3 1936) on Oct 5 1889 in North Adelaide.

Could not find a death record for George in 1888 but will have another look and update.
wez on 2014-01-29 08:11:11Appears ellen died in western australia.There seems to be some connection with William Edward Redden(her nephew) as they are buried in the same cemetry(Karrakatta). George Dart married Ellen in the south east of SA and Williams family lived there.Edward(Williams father) died when William was only 6 so possibly ellen kept close contact with William. It seems likely Ellen must have been close with William and she must have moved to WA in the last years of her life as her second husband died in WA some years later. I am guessing she moved there to be close to her nephew William.I assume Ellen would have met george dart when she visited Edward or her other brother John who also lived there.Could not find georges death record either but wondering if he died in victoria. There is a george dart died in 1912 but that seems unlikely, 1888 seems to be correct just a matter of finding it.

The George DART that died 1912 in Nantawarra was aged 66 years. This would have been about the same age as the George DART married to Ellen REDDEN in 1873.
When Ellen remarried in 1889 her status was recorded as Widow, so George must have died in or before 1889.
Keep in mind not all births and deaths were registered.
Time to push the death records aside and start searching the cemetery records.
