david beck born in donegore ireland in 1793 was transported on the minervia ship in 1818 tried the year before in ireland later pardoned he later married a mary smith in hobart tasmania and was pardoned later he is the son of john beck born in donegore and grandson of david beck and mary henderson beck the irish beck familys moved to donegore in 1740s john beck was the first beck in donegore son of linen mercharts from antrim and prevous beck familys were based in county down and antrim and the original family settled in mullaghbreck john beck born in 1585 settled in mullaghbreck he had two sons adam and john beck david beck transported is from the john beck family line
sorry the above spouse of david beck in catherine smith who passed away in 1839 david was pardoned in 1845 they married in nov 1823 hobart tasmania davids punishment was very harsh for stealing linen
